Our History
2008
Our Annual Business Managers’ and Admin. Assistants’ Conference, was very significant for various aspects:
• It was our Tenth Anniversary Conference
• We were proud of having more than 10 professionals attending from other American Schools for the first time
• We defined and distributed OUR MISSION
• Pictures of 9 years of Conferences were shown.
• New LAASBO pins (the next version will cover Central America) and a new Web page (www.LAASBO.com) were presented.
• Last but not least… we were 43 open minded professionals. The largest ever.!!!
As usual, we had the support and presence of Bill Scotti, Paul Poore, Max Tudor & TieCare, ISS and Commerce Bank reps. First, 2 days of excellent presentation of Cindy Kubica from Rockhurst University, on Effective Change Management. The third day was covered by Carlos Patiño talking on Business Standards and Code of Ethics, and Patricia de Marín about Team Building and Group Dynamics, who addressed to Admin. Assistants. Patricia Zaldivar made an outstanding presentation of his Escuela Americana (El Salvador). Paul Poore the Executive Director of AASSA, dyed all us with concepts on Leading in Times of Changes; he and his team explained the services rendered and how to proceed with purchases. Finally all of us went back home with our “Certificate” & a “regalito” from other part of the 3 Continents.
