Our History
1999
The year was running and the CEO of two important School Associations, Mr. Jim Morris (AASSA) and Mrs. Mary Virginia Sanchez (Tri-Assoc.), with the full support of the REO, Mr. Bill Scotti, launched the need for a “get together” of the American Schools Business Managers.
The idea was to have a two and a half day Conference with invited speakers and discussion of issues of high practical interest for us.
It matured in July 1999, and for the first time, the Annual Conference was carried out in Miami Lakes at Don Shula’s, with a highly contagious enthusiasm, interesting participations and good ideas from the 28 attendees.
Gonzalo Luna (Gonzalito) made an outstanding and relaxing presentation of Human Talents System, a Holistic view. María Angélica Moya (Mamoya) talked on International Purchasing system.
Tie-Care, Gables Group and other suppliers sponsored activities.
The commitment for additional participation the coming year turned into a reality during the wrap-up session.
